Does the bumper have a towing point?
Yes, the SafetyWeight weights have a towingpoint in the top link support where a rope can be attached. We have tested this extensively, watch the video here:
How will the SafetyWeight Plus XL BOX be delivered?
The XL-BOX bumper is delivered on a large pallet as shown and comes pre-assembled.
Why can you adjust the hitch point in 2 positions?
There are 2 coupling positions for the bumper, standard in the front position. If the front linkage is compact and fully raised, the bumper may touch the linkage arm. The ball position must then be moved to the position 2, more at the back Loosen the M27 bolt (key 41), move the nut inside the rail and tighten again.
What is the size of the box ?
400, 600 and 800kg toolbox size: 270 Liter 81 x 68 x 42 cm
1000 and 1100kg toolbox size: 340 Liter 80 x 82 x 53 cm
Which weights can I choose?
These weights are possible in combination with big toolbox:
- 400kg
- 600kg
- 800kg
- 1000kg
- 1100kg
Can i change the weight afterwards?
No, it is not possible to increase or decrease the weight afterwards.
What are the bumpers filled with?
As ballast we use small punch caps, residual material from perforated sheet. This in combination with concrete gives a strong and solid construction.
Where is the weight located?
In the side wings. Middle frame is full integrated storagebox.
What is the distance of linkage ball to front of the SafetyWeight Plus XL BOX bumper?
This depends on the weight: 37 cm for models of 400, 600, and 800 kg, and 48 cm for models of 1000 and 1100 kg.
Which width dimensions can i adjust the SafetyWeight Plus XL BOX?
The width is adjustable from 2.5 to 2.9 meters.
Is a tractor bumper required by law?
No, a tractor bumper is not mandatory in any country.
Does the bumper work in practice?
A few of accidents have now been reported in which the TractorBumper has undoubtedly limited the consequences.
Can I get a subsidy for a tractor bumper?
Only subsidy in possible in Belgium, callled “VLIF”. According to our data, subsidy is not possible in all other countries
